Mardi Himal Trek is going to be a more popular short trekking route in the Annapurna region. Mardi Himal is located at the east of the famous trekking destination of Nepal, Annapurna base camp trek. The trail of Mardi Himal is mostly of lush rhododendron forest which opens to the rugged Himalayan trail. Mardi Himal trek is one of the short treks in terms of limited time. Among many trekking destinations in the Annapurna region, the Mardi Himal trek is popular for short treks in Nepal.

The route to Mardi Himal is not jam-packed like any other trekking trail in the Annapurna region. Despite being the newly opened trail, it is gaining more attention among trekkers. Because of the few numbers of the visitor, the number of guest houses or tea houses is also few. Though it is few in number variety in the menus can be found.

The journey commences from Pokhara. After one and a half-hour drive, you will reach Dhampus. Ascending up to the forest camp through the wet and lush forest, you can enjoy the feel of being in the wild. The hike can be tiring but it will be worth the hard work as you will get the awesome view of the Annapurna massif along with some other peaks. From High Camp, you can capture the splendid views of the Machhapure Himal, Annapurna massif, Mardi Himal, and Hinchuli. The trek is not that hard thus kids too old can opt for this trek. In the wake of arriving at the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be welcomed by a delegate from Highland Eco Trek in Nepal who will drop you off at your lodging. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Mardi Himal Beyond Amazing Experience

I have only amazing things to say about my experience with Highland Eco Trek! I already recommend it to everyone I meet in Nepal and to all my friends. I will come back to Nepal and 100% go on a trek with Highland Eco Trek. My guide was Nir Gurung and he is an AMAZING guide! He is a very nice person as well! We became great friends. He does everything he can to make your experience amazing! I was traveling alone and not an experienced trekker, this was my first long trek, and I had the best time! NB Gurung knew everyone on the trek, so people made sure we always had a great experience. The agency took care of all my permits and everything. And on the trek, the experience was great! NB Gurung knows a lot about nature, and he will give you very interesting knowledge, He will also tell you a lot about the culture in Nepal, and he is just a great person to talk to. I have for sure a new very good friend in Nepal!! Even for my birthday, we were almost 4,000m high, and he managed to get me a cake!!! This shows how much they care and want to make your experience amazing. I am back in Pokhara and just messaged Nir Gurung I wish we could go on a trek again today. Amazing experience! I cannot thank Highland Eco Trek and mainly Nir Gurung enough!!! AMAZING, thank you!!

Day 04: Drive to Kande and trek to forest camp.
Day 05: Trek to Badal danda
