Visit Nepal 2020

Let’s make it a grand success.
Nepal first unlocked its gates to foreigners only in the 1950s, after the restoration of democracy, which marked the initial foundation of the Nepalese tourism industry. Ever since, Nepal, a smaller yet beauteous South-Asian utopia, has quintessentially beguiled, drawn, and captivated universal tourists with its mystical and numinous overtone. High appreciation for elegant mountain ranges, Hindu and Buddhist sacred sites known for their sacredness, rugged yet ravishing countrysides, deep and dark jungles of the Southern Plains, and verdant vegetation, as they are the prime attributes behind the astonishing beauty of the small kingdom of Nepal, perched in the lap of the Himalayas between India and China. On top of that, the genteel and congenial demographics of Nepal invite and greet you all with their arms wide and hearts open. Their comfy hospitality, accompanied by bona fide Nepali delicacies, would tempt any souls out there on the planet.
After the grand success of campaign years: Visit Nepal Year 1998 and Nepal Tourism Year 2011, the Nepal Tourism Board has introduced another tourism year, the Visit Nepal 2020 Campaign. Although the campaign was promulgated in 2015 and was supposed to be held in 2018 afterward, it was rescheduled to 2020. The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal’s government has decided to witness the year 2020 as Visit Nepal Year with the motto “Lifetime Experiences,” targeting to attract as many as 2 million backpackers and holidaymakers from all over the world.
Highland Eco Trek believes that it is quite necessary to consider the preparation and procurement facets beforehand to make this campaign happen successfully. For the 2020 edition of Visit Nepal, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal has unwavering plans and schemes to make 2020 a grand success. On the other side, the Nepalese Ministry of Tourism has come up with an ambitious yet pilot project to make two new international airports in Lumbini and Pokhara functional. Furthermore, the government is also planning to operate Tribhuwan International Airport for an extra 3 hours. It is also revealed that the administration is also arranging to confirm air services agreements with countries like Japan, Turkey, UAE, Egypt, China, etc. Another interesting thing is that, besides the above-mentioned changes, the government of Nepal is looking forward to amending some acts regarding Nepalese tourism, i.e., the trekking ordinance, casino regulation, and mountaineering expedition validations.
