Trip Overview

Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. Mera Peak offers some of the most beautiful pictorial sights in the Himalayas. Lying at the edge of the Khumbu region, the view from the top is simply breathtaking. The magnificent view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and Cho-Oyu is mind-blowing after the hard climb. The climb to the top of Mera Peak is physically hard but technically easier than other peaks. Thus, it is best for those who have a fair amount of mountain climbing experience. But importantly, you will need to be physically fit enough to handle all the tiredness the climb might cause. The trek can be challenging. Climbing the peak is very hard in itself, but the hard work pays off when you get to have a stellar view of the Himalayas in the Khumbu region.

We have built an itinerary based on the number of days required for acclimatization, as it is a priory important matter while peak climbing or trekking. Having enough days for acclimatization makes it easier to safely make it to the top of the summit. We will be taking the route via Hinku Valley, which is full of lush forests and scenic mountains. The trail to Mera Peak is beautiful as well as rough. You will pass quaint villages and the forest, which will give you peaceful energy from the sound of the river and the chirping of birds. The path to Mera Peak is simply amazing, as you will be walking through the dense forest for the pleasure of the trekkers. Similarly, the remote and intact beauty of Hinku and Hongu is mesmerizing. The trek is full of beautiful views, and the glorious landscapes along with the splendid glaciers, lakes, and watersheds make it even more amazing.

The journey to Mera Peak starts in Kathmandu after a day of touring the UNESCO-listed world heritage sites of Kathmandu Valley. As the climb is technically easy, our climbing experts will give information about how to use the equipment. Make Highland Eco Trek your climbing and make the trip even more exciting.
