Chandragiri Hill Day Hiking is one of the most adventurous days hiking around the Kathmandu Valley. The Chandragiri hill gives a lovely viewpoint of Kathmandu city and a beautiful panoramic mountain range including Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang, Dorjelakpa, and Gaurisahnkar Himal.
The place is situated at 2475m above sea level. Chandragiri Hill is surrounded by evergreen forest through a great hiking route for the Chitlang village homestay, and recently a cable car and resort at the top of the hill. At Chandragiri Hill, there is a temple of Lord Shiva named Bhaleswor Mahadev Temple, which has a great mythology in Hinduism.

Through the Chandragiri hike, we can watch different species of birds, mammals, and flora and fauna. After having a great time there, you can return by cable car, hike, or drive on the same day. As an option, there is a good campsite to have an overnight stay at, with a glorious sunrise view over the Himalayas and Kathmandu Valley in the morning.
